Academic forum of U.S. and International Insolvency Law by James H.M. Sprayregen

An academic forum of U.S. and International Insolvency law has been co-organized by the China-EU School of Law, the Research Center of Insolvency Law and Cooperate Restructuring, and the Research Group of Legal Reform of Market Economy of CUPL University on April 14th, 2015, at room 306, Mingfa building, Changping campus of China University of Political Science and Law.

The topic of this academic forum was “Restructuring and Insolvency Regimes in the United States and Around the World”. James H.M. Sprayregen, who is chairman of INSOL, one of the most experienced restructuring lawyers in the United States and an expert in the field of non-performing assets restructuring, gave a lecture as this forum’s guest of honor. The forum was hosted by Clemens Richter, the executive co-dean of CESL and Zhao Tianshu, the manager of the CESL research center.

The forum started at 3:00 p.m. The executive co-dean made a brief opening statement for this forum, he give a warm welcome to Mr. Sprayregen.

Mr. Sprayregen said it is a great pleasure for him to speak at the forum. During his lecture he gave a detailed introduction to the U.S. Bankruptcy Law, to Select European Union Insolvency Systems and on Extra-Statutory Restructuring Considerations. After the lecture he answered questions from students and academics.

At the end of this forum, Mr. James made a talk with students and took a group photo.
