EU Delegation Representatives Visited CUPL

On March 3rd, Professor ZHU Yong, Vice President of CUPL met with representatives from the EU Delegation to China on Xueyuan Lu Campus, including Mr. Lars GRONVALD, Head of Development and Cooperation Section of EU Delegation to China, Mr. Matthias REUSING, First Secretary and Mrs. Rita Beatrice CAULI, Attaché. Professor XU Lan, Director of the CUPL Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Professor LIU Fei, Chinese Co-dean of China-EU School of Law (CESL) and Dr. Clemens RICHTER, European Executive Co-dean of CESL attended the meeting as well.

Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on issues of the development of China-EU School of Law at China University of Political Science and Law.

On behalf of CUPL, Professor ZHU Yong expressed thanks to the EU Delegation for their support for CESL. He reiterated that CUPL has confidence on and will fully support the sustainable, stable and healthy development of CESL. He also pointed out that we need not only more trust and cooperation from both sides but also further constructive support from the EU Delegation in order to cope with the difficulties encountered during the operation of CESL.

Mr. Lars GRONVALD, on behalf of the EU Delegation to China, appreciated the strong support of CUPL for the development of CESL and extended congratulations to the Co-deans on their achievements. He also expressed EU’s confidence on the permanent development of CESL.

In addition, both sides also exchanged views on concrete issues concerning the finance, administration, faculty, monitoring and sustainable development of CESL.
