The University of Hamburg has one position for research associate (wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in) salary group 13-TV-L with a starting date as soon as possible for the following project: China-EU School of Law.
The position calls for 19.5 number of hours per week. The short-term contract will end on 31.12.2012 (current end of the project; see also § 2 of the Academic Fixed-Term Contract Law (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz).

Responsibilities:
A research associate's duties include academic service for the project. Outside of these tasks associates have the opportunity to further their academic education, in particular through the completion of a doctoral dissertation. Results obtained by the associate through project work may be used for the dissertation.

Area(s) of Responsibility:
In addition to academic support major tasks will include organizational work for the China-EU School of Law (within Professional Training especially supporting experts in their assignments in China; organizational support of research projects; preparation of meetings and events). Working language primarily is English – very good command of English therefore is essential – applications of native speakers are most welcome. Command of Mandarin is a plus.

Basic requirements:
Academic degree in an area qualifying for the above mentioned responsibilities.
